Plugins

Plugins extend what NORD can do. The Plugins tab has two parts: a short list, Aanbevolen plugins (recommended), that genuinely works in NORD, and Openbare plugins zoeken (search public plugins) in the official MCP catalog.

Recommended plugins

A checked list: image generation (OpenAI, or FLUX and Nano Banana via FAL) and smarter web search (Exa or Tavily). Each works with your own key, so you pay the provider directly and NORD charges nothing extra.

1. Go to Settings and then the Plugins tab.
2. Each card says what it still needs, for example a key. Request one from the provider and add it under API keys.
3. Switch the plugin on. NORD then switches on its tool category too. A change applies from your next message.

When everything is ready, the card says Werkt (works) with an example question to try.

Searching public plugins

Type a subject, such as accounting or CRM. You only see plugins NORD can use over the internet; plugins that must be installed on a computer of your own are left out. A plugin from a verified publisher carries the label Geverifieerde uitgever.

Toevoegen (add) puts the plugin under MCP servers. If it asks for a key, you fill that in first; it is stored encrypted.

When saving fails

If a change fails, the switch snaps back to its old position and a message appears naming the plugin. So the screen never shows a state the server does not hold.

Note

A plugin gives NORD an ability, not permission. Everything that leaves the building still runs through Approvals.
